Part 5 is now up and available on Smashwords! Just click on the image. Within a week or so, it should be available for download at other retailers.

This version has been updated and edited. Sometimes, it's easy to get carried away with a story.

New covers will be added at a later date, but for now, they will remain the same. I'm excited to start the next series, but at the moment, this is the only erotica I'll publish.

Jeremy scanned her body from a distance, absorbing every vibe she was giving off. Her tight, pencil skirt, shaggy sweater, dirty stilettos, and short, loose curls all gave her the appearance of a busy woman.

"Is that all?" The man in front of Jeremy shifted his weight. Subtle, but not subtle enough to go unnoticed.

"Sure," Jeremy said, flipping his notepad to a fresh sheet. "Give Samantha your number and we'll contact when we need you."

"Sorry, when? Sir, I'm really busy, you know. Works. Kids. I'm the only one they got. My boys ain't got nobody else. I'm a single parent. I can't be doing none of this back and forth. I'm sure you understand, dontcha? Please, ain't you got better people to talk to?"

"Look, Mister, just give your information to Sally. I'm real busy here." Jeremy didn't bother giving the man another glance. He strode over to the woman. The couple people she was talking to walked away, letting her know they'd be there if she needed them.

"Mister Detective." Her red lips almost took the voice right out of Jeremy.

"Name?"

"Donna. Donna Moore."

"Look, Missus Moore-"

"Miss." She batted her perfectly curled eyelashes up at him. He almost dropped his pen and notepad from all the sweat. There was something behind those eyes that hinted at a secret. Whatever it was, he wanted to know. "Did you see it happen?"

"Yes. Like I told the police, I saw the shadows of three men--no--four. Four men were struggling. I was around the corner at the time, you see. Well, it looked it was an even fight. Two against two. But they were just shadows so I'm not altogether certain. Anyways, I was curious; so, I walked up to the corner and peeped around. But then a gun went off. So I hit the ground and waited for the all the shuffling to stop."

"One shot?"

"Yes... No. I'm sorry. Look at me, all shaken up! Two. Two shots were fired."

"Ma'am, there were three bullet holes between the two victims."

"Right. No, I meant three. You see, they were shot by different guns. That's what I meant, two guns were shot."

Jeremy took a deep breath, instantly regretting it when her scent filled his head up with clouds. He couldn't shake the nagging feeling that she was intentionally getting her facts mixed up. One side of her lips twitched up momentarily. Just slightly. If he hadn't glanced down at them at the right moment, he may have missed it.

"Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly what you meant."

At that moment, the chief walked up. "Hey, Jeremy, you got an emergency call. Twenty-first street."

"Sure, chief. Why don't you take care of Miss Donna Moore, here?" As he walked away, he heard her voice trailing after him.

"Jeremy. We'll meet again..." Thick malicious laced her words, words full of promise he was both scared of and intrigued by.

Excerpt
"I still think you should just kill him," Ariel says matter-of-factly as she prepares our breakfast. She is letting me stay in her guest bedroom, and we're currently discussing what I should do about being bonded to Asher, my master and lover. Being a cat shifter bonded to a human means I rely on him for my physical and emotional health. Unfortunately, there are only two ways a bond is broken... through death or by revealing to Asher that I'm a shifter. The latter only works if he rejects me. As long as he accepts me in both forms (knowingly or not), I'm bonded to him. I tried telling him three days ago, but that didn't exactly go as planned.
"I'm not going to kill Asher. We're not back in the archaic times where that was more acceptable," I say, pouring milk into two glasses. Ariel laughs. She's always one to prefer drama. I know she's worried about me and is just trying to lighten up the mood. Being away from Asher, I've already begun to get sick. I've been bonded many, many times before, but it was never this strong. Up until now, I didn't even realize there were different strengths of being bonded. Ariel's scared of what may happen to me if I don't stay with him. It could mean death, but neither of us has ever been away from someone we're bonded to long enough to find out. A big part of me is hoping that it's just a myth, but a small part of me is afraid it isn't.
"Until you figure out what you're going to do, you can take on some shifts at the bar. You need a new wardrobe anyway. For now, you can borrow some of my button-up shirts for when you're working and just toss one on over your dress. And if you're going to spend a lot more time in your human form, you should probably consider investing in some underwear."
I roll my eyes. I usually just steal any clothing I need, but I'm living in her place so I'll respect her ways. As far as wearing any panties or bra, though, that disturbs me. I don't want to feel suffocated by today's uptight society. Cultures have developed a lot through the centuries, but humans are still humans.
Later that night, I'm throwing ice in a shaker. It's slow at the bar, and Ariel is teaching me a few drink recipes. I catch on quickly since I've been watching her do it for years. Without warning, I feel my hands jerk, and I can't stop them. I can't seem to keep hold of the glass and drop it. I look down to see blood dripping. Ariel rushes up to me and places a towel on my nose. I've been trying to keep myself together, but all I'm really doing is falling apart. I cuss at myself for ever bonding with Asher. This is miserable, and I want nothing to do with him. The room starts to spin, and I find myself in Ariel's arms, on the floor, looking up at the ceiling.
"Roger, take over and call Jake into work. I need to get Emily some help," I hear her say. I feel two sets of hands around me.
"Here, take my car, it'll be quicker." I don't hear who says it, but it sounds like Henry, one of Ariel's loyal customers. They carry me outside and help me into his car.
"Thank you. I'll call you when I can return it," Ariel says.
As we're driving down the road, my mind fades in and out. I'm trying to stay conscious, but I can't. At times, I can hear the ticking of fingernails against the steering wheel. Ariel is worried, and she's trying to think of what to do.
A few minutes later, I hear voices but by now I'm too far gone to understand who is around me or what is happening.

This is about the 32nd rough draft of the shapeshifter novel I'm working on, which will be for MG audiences based off The Tail Tale Series. (The short story series is ADULT ONLY, but the novel will be for everyone!)

Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Right. Oh, right there. The long, spotted kitty with short, tan fur wiggled on the pebbled fence, massaging her back on it. Her back was feeling the stress of the past few days and she was thoroughly enjoying this moment to relax.
Just as she reached up to paw at the sky, she caught the site of a local village boy stretching his filthy fingers toward her silky fur. As soon as his chipped nails started digging in her tummy, she snapped her body shut shut, clasping her claws around his arm and sinking her teeth into his shoulder.
"Ow! Stupid cat," the boy said, cradling his arm and tripping as he ran away. The kitty's shoulders jerked up as though she were laughing. The kitty glanced at the little town before her, jealous of all the children there who didn't have their futures planned out before them.
She turned her back on them and started towards the forest. There was a trail that lead directly to the castle, but she wanted some privacy for a little while longer. As soon as she reached the tall trees, a loud snap caught her attention. The kitty whipped back to find another boy following her. He had dark eyes and shaggy hair, but his clothes were a little too nice to suggest he was simply a servant boy.
"Well, not how I wanted our introductions to go..." The boy looked around, reassuring himself that nobody was nearby to see him talking to a cat. "Princess."
The kitty titled her head to the side, unsure of what to do. She had never been caught sneaking out before. She probably should've been afraid, but was more impressed than anything that he was able to figure out what she was doing. She transformed herself into a girl with long, frizzy hair and her maid's dress. "Who are you?"
"My name is Leif."
"As in Leif Eriksson? The werebear explorer Viking?"
The boy laughed. "No. I'm not a werebear. I am Sir Leif Jolland. At your service."
The girl watched as Leif bowed to her. "I am Princess Ariel Akila, of the Akila Castle. Why are you following me, Sir Leif?"
"Well, Princess, I was hoping to get your help." His eyes shifted, trying to decide if she were trustworthy or not. Sometimes, though, reaching certain goals meant taking certain risks. He started to say something, but she put her hand.
"Answer correctly and I'll listen to your problems," Ariel said.
Leif eyed her before nodding in agreement.

Castles, caverns, and riddles to come!

If you're just tuning in, this is a smutty erotica short story series (a total of 5) about a cat shape shifter and her owner, Asher.

Since The Tale Tail Series completion, I've been thinking of what to write about next. Also, how do I want to go about turning that into a novel? So here are my plans!

Erotica:
The next series I'm writing will be short noir stories. I don't think I'll clarify the time, but rather give hints that it's somewhere between 1920-1950s. A jazz pianist falls for a vixen, a femme fatale. All the trouble she gets him into only makes him want her more. Rawr! So far, I plan on writing this series so they're all stand-alone stories.

Novels:
As of now, The Tail Tale Series is going to be a trilogy, also stand-alone. Book 1 will be over the War of Shifters and her adolescence. Book 2 will be over her first love and her first lost set in her young adulthood. Book 3 will be set in the "present" which will actually be the future, and will cover her mature adulthood.

There's one more novel I'm mapping out right now. This one will be about a flower fairy. It's going to be much different than most of everything I've ever written, but I'll get more into that another day.
